Ram CharanPeddi arrived in theaters today and premiered last night, and the sports drama has received mostly positive reviews. Here is our detailed Peddi review on it Buchi Babu Direction.
Story
Set in and around Vizianagaram in the 1990s, Peddi revolves around an unnamed, remote village near the hills that doesn't exist on government maps, has no postal code, no railway station and doesn't even have voting rights. It shows how a man named Peddi struggled to maintain his village's identity by excelling in multiple sports and facing many challenges.
performances
Ram Charan delivered an exceptional performance as Peddi. From start to finish, he lived in character and made many storylines work with his natural acting while carrying the film on his shoulders.
Jagapathi Babu plays a crucial role and leaves a lasting impression. Shivarajkumar is strong in the coaching role while Janhvi KapoorThe character isn't fully realized – the director focuses more on her glamor than character development. dividend was decent in his role while Boman Irani was fine too. Other actors were okay.
analysis
director Buchi Babu Peddi begins on a good note. The introductory sequence of the hero in a cricket match and the song Rai Rai Raa Raa work well. He ensures that the intended emotion is conveyed in multiple sequences – Appalasoori's fight, Peddi's realization during the interval, the Kusthi episodes after the interval, the hospital sequence, the songs and the climax all work very well and leave a strong impression.
Let's get to the mistakes, the romantic track in between Janhvi And Ram Charan is handled poorly. The attempt to evoke emotion in the second half of the track doesn't seem as natural as it should have been.
The villain characters, who appear strong at the beginning, become weaker as the film progresses, which at times affects the narrative. The film also slows down in the Delhi episode before the shocking twist and then ends with an impressive climax.
