NCLT Defers Hearing on Jagan’s Share Transfer Petition to April 3

Sunday, March 23, 2025
Hyderabad’s National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has postponed the hearing on petitions filed by YSRCP chief Jagan regarding share transfers. The tribunal adjourned the proceedings to April 3 after both the petitioner and respondents sought additional time to file their counters.
Jagan alleges that shares registered in his and YS Bharathi’s names were illegally transferred by his mother, Vijayamma, and sister, Sharmila, without his consent or signatures. The petition names Vijayamma, Sharmila, Sandur Power, and the Registrar of Companies as respondents.
Last week, Jagan also filed an interim petition seeking a stay on the transferred shares. With all parties requesting an extension to submit their responses, the tribunal deferred the hearing to next month.
