Hyderabad: Telangana Minister for Housing Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has issued a stern warning regarding the Indiramma housing scheme, stating that if houses are found to have been sanctioned to ineligible beneficiaries, they will be canceled, irrespective of the construction stage. The minister conducted a review meeting with officials to assess the implementation of the scheme.
During the meeting, Minister Srinivas Reddy directed officials to promptly examine applications submitted during Gram Sabhas for Indiramma houses. He emphasized that the selection process should be based on applications received in the third week of January, ensuring transparency and adherence to eligibility criteria. Officials were instructed to follow a structured approach in allocating houses to deserving beneficiaries.
The minister also underscored the importance of leveraging technology in the selection process. He called for measures to verify eligibility at the time of application submission itself. Furthermore, he instructed officials to conduct field inspections and take appropriate action in cases where eligible beneficiaries were allegedly denied houses.
