Tollywood actor and producer Manchu Vishnu recently met with Andhra Pradesh’s Minister of Higher Education, Nara Lokesh. During their meeting, they discussed various topics, including matters related to the film industry. Manchu Vishnu shared insights from the meeting on Twitter, stating, “I met my brother, Minister Nara Lokesh. We discussed many things. His positive energy is truly remarkable. I wish you many more successes. Har Har Mahadev.” However, Vishnu did not specify the exact purpose behind the meeting with the minister.
In addition to his roles as an actor and producer, Manchu Vishnu serves as the president of the Movie Artists Association (MAA) and is involved in the education sector. He oversees the operations of Mohan Babu University and Vidyaniketan institutions, founded by his father, Mohan Babu. Sources suggest that Vishnu’s meeting with Nara Lokesh might have been related to his educational responsibilities.
On the professional front, Manchu Vishnu is currently working on his dream project, Kannappa. The film, which is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, known for his work on the Mahabharat series, is based on the story of the devoted Kannappa from the Sri Kalahasteeswara Mahatmyam, written by the poet Dhoorjati. The film is produced on a grand scale by Mohan Babu under the banners of Ava Entertainments and 24 Prems Factory.
The movie features a star-studded cast, with Prabhas playing Lord Shiva. Other prominent actors include Akshay Kumar, Nayanthara, Mohanlal, Kajal Aggarwal, Brahmanandam, Sharath Kumar, Madhubala, Devaraj, Mukesh Rishi, Manchu Avram, and Arpith Ranka, among others. Kannappa is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 25, 2025.
