Kantara to be screened at UN in Geneva

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara which is one of the biggest blockbusters in the Sandalwood in recent times has received another rare achievement. As per the sources, the action thriller will be screened at United Nations In Geneva on March 17.

Interestingly this also marks the birth anniversary of the Kannada late actor Puneeth Raj Kumar who passed away in 2021 due to cardiac arrest.

Sharing the exciting news about Kantara’s special screening, Rishab Shetty wrote- ‘Proud to represent ECO FAWN in submitting Oral Statement at UNHRC. The significance in promotion of cultural rights of forest dwellers and protection of forests in Kantara is deciphered at the international forum.’

As per the post, Rishab Shetty already completed his oral submission at UNHRC. It is known that Kantara was directed and featured by Rishab Shetty and was released in October of last year.

Apart from Rishab, Kantara also starred Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Sapthami Gowda, Pramod Shetty, and others in vital roles. The superhit film was bankrolled by the prestigious Kannada production house Hombale Films.

Meanwhile, Kantara 2 which is a prequel to Kantara is currently under wraps. The team unit is planning to release the film in 2024.
