analysis
As everyone knows, Jana Nayagan is the last film of Thalapathy Vijayand it is an official remake of Bhagavanth Kesari. director H. Vinoth adopts the main theme of the original and accordingly makes several changes to the script Vijay's Star power and mass appeal.
The first half regularly starts with the introduction of the hero and mainly follows the actions of Bhagavanth Kesari with a complete change in the character scenes of the villain. The entertainment portions are too ordinary Vijay Some scenes work through sheer screen presence. The character of the villain and his plan of destruction – the entire track is handled chaotically.
The action sequence near the break works and sets the stage for the second half. The flashback doesn't provide the intended climax either, only one episode worked properly. The key sequence of “Good Touch – Bad Touch” is neatly executed, but does not fit naturally into the script.
The way Bobby Deols The character's design looks unintentionally hilarious. The remote-controlled weapons and civil war-like concept in the climax feel completely out of place and stretched too far, with the female empowerment aspect thrown in just for eponym.
Plus points
- Some high altitude scenes from Vijay
- Thalapathy Kacheri song
Minus points
- Poor handling of the women empowerment message
- Horrible scenes with the villain's character
- No emotional impact
- Extended, boring, ineffective climax
Jana Nayagan Review: Final Verdict
Jana Nayagan can only be enjoyed by hardcore fans Vijay fans as it is his last film. It makes some episodes entertaining, but the film suffers from an inconsistent script, forced emotions, and poor handling of the message of women empowerment. As a farewell film, it disappoints more than it entertains.
