Former BRS minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao has alleged that a non-bailable case was filed against BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy due to pressure from CM Revanth Reddy and that they are conspiring to send him to jail without getting bail. Huzurabad MLA Kaushik Reddy was arrested by the Subedari police at Shamshabad Airport on Saturday morning and brought to Warangal in a case of threatening a granite quarry trader and demanding money.
A case was registered against the MLA under Sections 308(2), (4), and 352. With this, BRS leaders met Warangal Police Commissioner Sunpreet Singh and urged him to change non-bailable sections in which he was arrested. Former minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Vinay Bhaskar, Challa Dharmareddy and the legal team together met the Police Commissioner. The CP replied that he would talk to the legal advisors and tell them.
Dayakar Rao criticized CP for speaking in a roundabout manner. . He was angry that cases were being filed against BRS leaders who were questioning the government policies. He demanded that local body elections be held if they dare to face the people. He accused that their leaders were arrested only for the local body elections.
Meanwhile, Siddipet MLA and former minister T. Harish Rao lamented that the Congress government has left its job of governance to the wind and engage in political vindictive activities. He criticized that it is taking pleasure in harassing everyone from farmers to public representatives in the name of cases. He strongly condemned the illegal arrest of BRS MLA Kaushik Reddy.
He alleged that Revanth Reddy, who calls himself Indiramma Rajyam was reminding them of the Emergency during Indiramma’s time. He warned that cases and arrests cannot damage the self-confidence of BRS leaders and activists. He made it clear that they will expose your failures and expose their deceitful attitude in the public sphere. He demanded the immediate release of Kaushik Reddy, who was illegally arrested.
