Follow the intense story of Georgekutty and his family as they try to outwit the system and hide their past, director Jeethu Joseph returns with its third episode after production was delayed earlier this year. Let’s find out what Drishyam 3 has to offer in this review.
Story
Producer Georgekutty (Mohanlal) celebrates the successful release of his first film, a project inspired by his family's story. Unbeknownst to him, a serious threat is looming. A journalist who wants to make a documentary about Varun's death and the Georgekutty family's alleged involvement begins investigating Georgekutty, his family and their associates. performances
Mohanlal delivers a natural performance and tries to excel in every scene, even if the writing style sometimes doesn't help him. Meena, Ansiba HassanAnd Esther Anil are fine, although the latter brings with it a few comical moments. Asha Sharath And Siddique make a comeback in Drishyam 3, along with Murali Gopi And Kalabhavan Shajohnand deliver decent performances.
analysis
Jeethu Joseph presents the third installment of its most successful franchise, Drishyam. He repeatedly said that this time he will focus more on drama and not thrills. The film moves exactly in the mode he mentioned.
Drishyam 3 begins with an interesting recap of the first two parts and then proceeds at a leisurely pace, with the plot taking time to get going. We know that sooner or later the protagonist will face a big twist, and the hint of this only comes during the intermission when a crucial character appears.
The second half introduces several characters and plot twists, some of which work while some fail. But like the second part, all the action takes place in the last half hour where Georgekutty's game begins. It's not as outstanding as the first and second parts, but it definitely has some impact. However, the post-credits scene that hinted at a fourth part seemed completely unnecessary.
Positive
- Mohanlals Performance
- Scenes leading up to the interval
- Some twists and turns in the second half
Negatives
- Slow narration
- A few forced twists
- The approach and the conspiracy against the protagonist could have been more realistic
Drishyam 3 Review – Final Verdict
Drishyam 3 lacks magic Jeethu Joseph brought to the first two films. Like the second part, the film has a detailed first half and a second half full of twists, but only a few twists work. The climax works better, but it doesn't deliver the expected punch that made the franchise something special.
