DGP serious over police Role In Former YSP MLA Prakash Reddy Avoiding Arrest

Wednesday, May 14, 2025

The DGP has become serious about the negligence in arresting former YSRCP MLA of Raptadu, Thopudurthi Prakash Reddy and expressed anger at the officials who showed negligence in arresting him. He became angry after knowing that a DSP and CI of Sri Sathya Sai District, were involved in Prakash Reddy’s evasion from the police for 20 days.

With this, the police have deployed special teams to trace the whereabouts of Prakash Reddy and they have left for Vijayawada, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. On the other hand, the police have detained key YSRCP leaders in the Kuntimaddi helipad incident. 11 YSRCP leaders from Chennekothapalli and Ramagiri mandals, who played a key role in the attack on the police at the helipad, have been detained.

Among those detained by the police are Chennekothapalli YCP ZPTC Govinda Reddy, YCP Mandal Convener Dola Ramachandra Reddy, Obi Reddy of Polepalli, Venkata Reddy, Harinath Reddy and others. The police are searching for some other YCP leaders involved in the helipad incident.

A case has been registered against former Raptadu MLA Prakash Reddy in the incident that took place at the Kuntimaddi helipad. Sikepalli Circle Inspector Sridhar said that he was arresting Prakash Reddy in this case. He rushed to Topudurthi’s house and said that he was searching.

However, there are allegations that the police high-ranking officials are trying to get rid of the former MLA by saying that Prakash Reddy is in hiding and that his cell phone has been switched off. But surprisingly, he is roaming in public on the roads of Hyderabad.

Many doubts are being expressed about the police not arresting him despite him roaming in public in Hyderabad. The Police have fallen into trouble after the video of  Prakash Reddy roaming on the roads came out. The lower-level police personnel say that the Thopudurthi affair is being run under the direction of the police higher-ups.

TDP leaders are angry at the police officers who are colluding with YSRCP leaders, leaving them till they get bail. MLA Paritala Sunitha and her associates are already expressing many doubts about the attitude of the police officers.
