In a touching gesture, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has said that he will donate his whole monthly salary to offer financial support to orphaned children in Pithapuram, his constituency. As part of this scheme, every child will be given ₹5,000 per month, and the balance salary amount will also be given to support their welfare and needs. The politician-turned-actor has promised that this assistance will be given for as long as he remains in office.
Pawan Kalyan met with 42 orphan children of the Pithapuram constituency at his camp office in Mangalagiri on Friday. He personally gave a total of ₹2,10,000, giving ₹5,000 to each child as the first installment of financial assistance. The Deputy CM also arranged to have the monthly aid sent directly to the homes of the children, bypassing any barrier in availing the assistance.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kalyan expressed his emotional reason behind the decision. “After getting elected as an MLA, I first thought of not taking a salary,” he disclosed. “But then I thought I could utilize it to bring a positive change. I’ve decided to donate my salary to the orphan children of Pithapuram to enable them to continue their studies and lead a better life.”
