CM Revanth Reddy Reiterates Commitment To Demolition of Illegal Structures

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has affirmed that the state government will not retreat from its decision to demolish illegally constructed buildings in lakes and ponds. Despite facing criticism from various quarters, Reddy emphasized the administration’s determination to proceed with the demolition activities.

Addressing the criticism directed at the HYDRA, Revanth clarified that the initiative is not politically motivated. He made these remarks during the Telangana People’s Governance Day celebrations.

He assured that no illegal constructions, regardless of their size or prominence, within the Full Tank Level (FTL) and buffer zones of lakes, will be spared. He reminded that the HYDRA has already issued notices to numerous encroachers and influential individuals.

The Chief Minister expressed his satisfaction with the HYDRA”s ongoing efforts and stated that there would be no interference in the officials’ operations. He also mentioned that the HYDRA has warned property owners with structures in FTL zones to remove them immediately, with a clear indication that the authority will step in to handle the demolitions if necessary.
