Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that he is at this level because he has faced more crises than any other leader and turned every challenge into an opportunity. He launched the book ‘Mindset Shift’ written by Ponguru Sharani, daughter of Minister Dr P. Narayana and daughter-in-law of Bhimili MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao, in Vijayawada. The first copy was presented to famous film actor Chiranjeevi.
This was held differently from the routine book launch programs and speeches. After the book launch, author Sharani held an interview with Chandrababu and Chiranjeevi. On that occasion, the CM praised the author of the book, Sharani.
He said that till now he used to tell people to read the book ‘The Secret’ for personality development and changing their thinking patterns, but now he will have to tell people to read the book written by Sharani.
When Sharani asked, “What was your feeling when I came to you along with my father and asked you to launch my book?”, Chandrababu said, “I was surprised to know that I used to think that you were just your father’s children and you have come this far.” Chandrababu praised her for not only practicing what he practiced for 45 years at a young age, but also for writing a book that will be useful to everyone.
He said that if you change your mindset a little, you can achieve anything. Moreover, he appreciated that the educational institutions established by Narayana are a brand and that if ordinary students are sent to him, they will be transformed into brilliant students in three to four years.
While studying in university, CM Chandrababu said that he wanted to become a politician. The Vice Chancellor called him and said that he would give him the post of lecturer, but he refused and said that he was contesting the elections as an MLA.
He recalled that when he wanted to become a minister and asked CM Chenna Reddy, he wondered and asked `do you want to become a minister immediately after becoming an MLA for the first time?’. But, he said he return back after telling him to give him only if he had merit. He said that he became a minister after two years.
Chandrababu said that if we take one step, another step will come together. The CM praised Chiranjeevi for coming from a common family and rising to this level with determination and unwavering dedication. He said that NTR also worked very hard to rise.
