BRSA MLC Pochampalli Srinivas Reddy has firmly denied any involvement in the cockfights that took place in Moinabad mandal. Addressing the controversy, Reddy stated that he would fully cooperate with the police and provide detailed explanations in response to the notices issued to him. He also warned that he would take legal action against those spreading false allegations against him.
Reddy clarified that all matters regarding the land he purchased in 2018 were handled by his nephew, Gnyandev Reddy. He emphasized that there were no constructions such as a farmhouse or guest house on the property, but only two rooms for workers tending to mango and coconut plantations.
The MLC explained that the land had been leased to one Varra Ramesh Kumar Reddy without his involvement and that he only learned of the lease arrangement after the incident. He further stated that Varra Ramesh Kumar Reddy had subsequently leased the land to Venkata Patiraju, a detail that had not come to his attention until recently. Reddy confirmed that he had filed a complaint with the police and called for action against those involved.
Addressing media reports, Reddy denied any connection to alleged anti-social activities at the location, stating that he was not in Moinabad on the day of the incident but was in Warangal for the Ellamma festival. He expressed frustration over the political motive behind the false allegations being made against him.
Reddy, who has dedicated over 20 years to public service without any allegations or legal cases against him, made it clear that he would not tolerate any criminal activities on his property. He reiterated that legal notices would be issued to those spreading defamatory content on social media.
