BRS MLC Dasoju Demands CM Revanth’s Apology For Misbehaving with Miss World contestants

Thursday, June 19, 2025

BRS MLC Dasoju Sravankumar demanded that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy should take responsibility for the incident of inappropriate behavior and insulting Miss England during the beauty pageant in Hyderabad and apologize for it.

He expressed his concern that the behavior of Revanth Reddy’s relatives and close associates was despicable and reminded that Minister Ponnam Prabhakar himself had said that if the world pageant was held again, those contestants would not come back. He said that an application under the Right to Information Act (RTI) was filed for relevant details from the committee formed to investigate the incident.

Dasoju questioned why the NHRC and SHRC did not take the incident of insulting Miss England as a suo moto and register an FIR. He wondered why Union Minister of Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar did not respond when foreign women were insulted in Telangana.

He deplored that no celebrities participated in these competitions, former Miss World and Miss Universe did not come, and national and international media organizations did not cover the competitions. Dasoju Shravan was furious that Telangana is not a private estate of CM Revanth Reddy to do as he pleases.

The BRS MLC questioned why Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Congress state affairs in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan are not responding while Congress leaders are insulting women? He alleged that efforts are being made to close the case since the CM’s close associates are behind this.

He warned that the matter will not be left until the thieves who misbehaved with foreign women in the competitions are brought out. He expressed anger that beauty pageants were stubbornly held without listening to them, saying big words like investments will come and women’s empowerment.

Dasoju accused the state and the country of being dishonored by behaving indecently with Miss England. He accused the government of acting like a thief, saying that if a similar incident had happened in another country, an FIR would have been filed immediately.
