Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satyakumar has raised concerns over the portrayal of bandits and smugglers in recent films, questioning their impact on society. He emphasized the need for cinema to highlight the lives of eminent personalities who contributed to the development of their regions rather than glorifying crime.

Speaking at the 23rd anniversary celebrations of the Guru Raghavendra Educational Society in Nandyal on Saturday, Satyakumar lauded the institution’s role in providing coaching for bank job aspirants across both Telugu states. He noted that over 43,000 students trained by the institute have secured bank jobs.

The minister commended the organization’s founder, Peddireddy Dastagiri Reddy, stating that films based on individuals like him would be more beneficial to society. Expressing concern over the themes of certain films, he warned that glorifying criminal activities could influence societal behavior.

While Satyakumar clarified that his remarks were not directed at any specific film, speculation suggests he was referring to Pushpa 2. His comments have since sparked debate across the Telugu film industry and political circles.
