Irrigation Minister Dr. Nimmala Ramanaidu stated that the NDA-led Andhra Pradesh government is committed to generating 20 lakh jobs over the next five years. He highlighted that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s first official action after assuming office was signing the DSC recruitment file to fill 16,000 teacher posts. He assured that once the MLC elections conclude, the DSC notification will be released under the supervision of Minister Nara Lokesh, with teacher appointments completed before the next academic year.
Minister Criticizes Jagan’s Governance
During a campaign in Palakollu on Sunday for NDA-backed MLC candidate Perabattula Rajasekhar in the graduates’ constituency elections of the twin Godavari districts, Minister Ramanaidu urged voters to ensure a decisive NDA majority in the Legislative Council. He accused former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy of misleading the unemployed with false promises of job calendars and mega DSC recruitments.
Support Announced for Fishermen and Farmers
Minister Ramanaidu announced financial assistance of ₹20,000 for fishermen during the annual fishing ban from April and ₹20,000 for farmers under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, set to be implemented in May. Additionally, the “Talli Ki Vandhanam” program will be introduced in June before the start of the academic year. He also alleged that during the YSRCP regime, teachers were assigned duties near liquor outlets.
Allegations Against Vallabhaneni Vamsi
The minister emphasized that the NDA government had taken key steps within eight months, including reviving Amaravati’s development, restarting Polavaram reconstruction, and halting the privatization of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. He accused YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi of lawlessness and corruption, stating that former CM Jagan was endorsing such actions.
Condemning the attack on the TDP office near a national highway, allegedly led by Vamsi, Minister Ramanaidu claimed the office was set ablaze for five hours. He also alleged that Vamsi was involved in the abduction of a Dalit individual who had lodged a complaint regarding the incident. Expressing concern, he stated that despite YSRCP’s defeat, Jagan had not changed his political approach.
