The Andhra Pradesh cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Chandrababu, convened to discuss and approve several key initiatives. Following the meeting, Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy briefed the media on the cabinet’s decisions.
The cabinet approved the AP Knowledge Society Capacity Building – 2025 initiative, aimed at enhancing human resource development in the state. Parthasarathy noted that while the Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Center previously served this purpose, a new institution aligned with central policies will be established in Amaravati.
Revisions to the MSME policy were also approved to provide greater support for SC, ST, BC, and women entrepreneurs. Additionally, the cabinet sanctioned special incentives for industrialists, including concessions in the power sector.
Parthasarathy confirmed the approval of incentives requested by Coromandel International Ltd. The cabinet also sanctioned the recruitment of 15 supervisors for laddu production at Tirumala. Regarding compensation under the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, the government decided to provide ₹8 lakh per acre to affected farmers.
To improve efficiency in property registrations, an advanced time-slot system will be introduced, along with dynamic queue management at registration offices. Addressing the issue of housing for the underprivileged, Parthasarathy stated that the previous government neglected this sector, and the current administration is working on corrective measures.
The Chief Minister has directed officials to expedite the construction of houses for Polavaram project-displaced families and ensure essential infrastructure in rehabilitation colonies. He also emphasized that electricity costs should not become a burden on the public.
