In a pathbreaking initiative, Andhra Pradesh is the first Indian state to offer WhatsApp-based government services under its ManaMitra program. IT Minister Nara Lokesh informed that citizens of the state now have the advantage of easily availing themselves of important government records like caste certificates, hall tickets, and land records through WhatsApp. At India Today Conclave in Delhi, Lokesh emphasized that through this program, the public services of Andhra Pradesh will become easily accessible, simple to use, and effective.
Lokesh announced that a new-generation data center was being set up in Visakhapatnam under the government’s digital transformation endeavor. This aims to better secure the data as well as modernize the existing digital infrastructure to make Andhra Pradesh a pathbreaking technology-and-governance state. He reiterated that the state would zealously embrace cutting-edge technology so that there would be economic growth in this region and spur India’s digital revolution.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh will be India’s AI capital. Lokesh has announced a 7-gigawatt deal with Tata Power, a milestone to boost clean energy and create a technology-enabled ecosystem. He welcomed enterprises and professionals to adopt artificial intelligence (AI) innovation and put Andhra Pradesh in the vanguard of emerging technological innovations.
ManaMitra is a landmark initiative in making government services seamless and transparent. Under this portal, crucial documents can now be furnished to citizens in real-time, cutting red tape. Lokesh reaffirmed the government’s commitment to make Andhra Pradesh a model state for digital governance.
Reminding us of how the TDP government turned Hyderabad into an IT city, Lokesh was optimistic that Amaravati and Visakhapatnam will now become AI and technology powerhouses. With a vision to establish Andhra Pradesh as a leader in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, the state is bringing in a new era of innovation, growth, and digital advancement.
