All eyes are on the address of former chief minister and BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao at silver jubilee celebrations of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) have been made at Elkaturthy mandla headquarters in Hanamkonda district, for which the pink party is expecting to see around 10 lakh people attending the public meeting on Sunday evening.
He will launch year-long celebrations of the party’s silver jubilee. Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao personally supervised the arrangements on Saturday and said that not just BRS workers, but people across the state, especially the Congress leaders were very excited to listen to KCR’s speech at the massive public meeting. He expressed confidence in BRS coming to power after the next assembly elections.
On March 7, party chief KCR instructed party leaders to hold a silver jubilee meeting to mark the 25th anniversary of the party, which was formed on April 27, 2001 with the goal of achieving a Telangana state. He said that the silver jubilee meeting should be held in Warangal, which had been the party’s main stronghold even when the movement was in full swing.
The leaders initially looked at places in Bhattupally and Devannapet for the meeting, but the high command finally gave the green signal to Elkathurthi, which is located at the intersection of Hanamkonda, Siddipet and Karimnagar. On April 2, party leaders performed the groundwork for the public meeting. In 25 days, arrangements were made in a way that was unprecedented for the party that celebrated its 25th anniversary.
A new song titled “Pidikili Etthina KCR Gonthu Tho Pralaya Garjana” translated into English as “the roar of apocalypse in the voice of KCR’s with his raised fist,” in the glory of KCR was released by BRS on social media, which featured the party chief in it.
There were many scenes in the song where the BRS has tried to expose Congress and its leaders from the period of Telangana movement in 1969, in the early 2000s, and after the passing away of former AP chief minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
The BRS party has made grand arrangements for the silver jubilee meeting on 1,213 acres of land collected from the Elkathurthi farmers of Hanamkonda district. The public meeting premises have been prepared on 154 acres. A Bahubali stage has been decorated in pink colors to seat 500 people. Another stage has been specially set up next to the stage for the artists’ performances.
It is estimated that a total of 50,000 vehicles, including more than four thousand RTC buses, will arrive from all over the state, and 1,059 acres have been allocated for parking and divided into 5 zones. Parking has been arranged on the left and back of the assembly stage for VIP vehicles.
More than one lakh chairs have been arranged for the people coming to the meeting. Special chairs have been set up for women and barricades have been put up. 200 huge generators have been set up for lights and LEDs. 23 LED screens have been set up so that KCR can be seen clearly by everyone.
